Well, it had to rain sometime. Up until a few weeks ago, this has been a particularly dry winter (no complaints here), but when the skies finally opened up, it poured for more than a week straight.
As luck would have it, my shoot with Peggy, Jason, their two beautiful little girls, and family from out of town was scheduled for the end of that week. Rescheduling wasn’t an option — Jason’s family was heading home the following morning — and the rain was not letting up, so we moved our location to the Ferry Building, which I love for these kind of shoots anyway. The light in the atrium space is always beautiful, and the building makes for some interesting backdrops. We were a big group and the Ferry Building was bustling that morning, which made it a little challenging, but everyone was a trooper! We had a lot of fun meandering around the building.
The rain let up a little bit that morning, but didn’t stop entirely, so we grabbed some umbrellas and headed outdoors anyway. Some of my favorite shots were taken outside that morning…
