I love when my photo sessions introduce me to something new about San Francisco. There are so many hidden gems in this city.
For my recent shoot with Blaire, Whit and the adorable little Field, we set our sights on a location that looked like typical San Francisco, but that was also somewhat unexpected. After our first stop in Crissy Field, we headed over to Presidio Habitats, an outdoor art exhibit featuring sculptures along the trails and paths in the Presidio.
We loved what we found! I hadn’t even heard of the Habitats show until I started scouting locations for this shoot, and we kind of felt like we had stumbled upon a little secret. The sculptures made for perfect backdrops for our sessions, especially Winged Wisdom by Philippe Becker Design — strings of words nestled in the woods.
The Habitats show is totally worth checking out, and up through May 15, so you have plenty of time. We didn’t have enough time to see it all — the sun was going down — but that just means that I’ll be going back another time.
